Toxic Free Babies. That's what we need!

In this powerful New York Times editorial, “Are You a Toxic Waste Disposal Site?”  Nicholas Kristof states: “A starting point of a public health revolution should be to protect infants and fetuses from toxic substances…” I certainly agree!

I started SafetyNEST to do just that. Our belief is we need to tackle toxicity from the very beginning, with pregnant women and the pre-born: You and me before we ever met a Paraben, Phthalate, BPA, flame retardant or pesticide. The goal? Toxic-free babies.

The how is happening now: we're working to transform prenatal care by equipping health providers and every pregnant woman with a one-stop, highly engaging and personalized health education toolkit designed to reduce toxic chemical exposure at work and home. SafetyNEST is developing  a hub for reproductive professionals and pregnant women to engage, learn, track, and share content that’s easy to access and highly relevant. The bulk of our content is from University of California San Francisco Program on Reproductive Health and the Environment – top tier research and just seriously good stuff! More soon!
